Owen grew up surrounded by the arts, taking piano lessons from the age of 5, a music teacher for a mother and two younger siblings involved in theatre and dance. Owen played alto, tenor, and baritone saxophone in high school, and dabbles in bass guitar. High school is where Owen found his passion for sound design, when he had the opportunity to mentor under Bradley Van Houten at The Naples Players for several years, and eventually work in several other theatres in the surrounding area. Owen has worked at places such as the Fisher Center at Bard College, and The American Repertory Theater at Harvard University, where he was able to work underneath Tony Award Winning Sound Designer Kai Harada, on the World Premiere Musical We Live in Cairo.

Currently Owen is in his senior year finishing his degree at Western Michigan University, going for a BFA in Theatre: Design and Technical Production with a Focus in Sound, and a Multimedia Arts Technology Minor. Owen hopes to continue to make a positive impact on the world around him, provide a voice for those who can’t speak, and create captivating theatre, through sound design and composition. Outside of sound, Owen rolls a mean burrito. Like, easily the size of your head.
